Description
La lumière du phare d’Alexandrie fait naufrager les papillons de ma jeunesse…This is the Pharos, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, in the way it was almost 2000 years ago. The roman ship is called Navis Oneraria, a merchant boat used to bring goods to the Urbs, Rome. This one is going to Eternal City, carrying grain from the fertile Egypt. I try this time with this picture to be the most accurate I could. This place really did exist, I couldn’t do what I wanted, and so I did a lot of research. The Pharos, as you may know, was one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. With his 135 meters high, it was quite a sight to behold!
As always, Corel Painter 8 was used, with some Photoshop CS for minor effects. Two weeks of work.
